London Early Years Foundation appoints iNHouse to support bold plans for growth across the Capital
London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), the UK’s leading childcare charity and social enterprise, has appointed iNHouse to support a brand new communications programme over the next twelve months, with the clear aim of further extending its core ambition of building a better future for London’s children.
Following a major rebrand two years ago, the award-winning organisation – consisting of 22 community, workplace and Children’s Centre nurseries, alongside provision in training and research – is now entering an exciting new phase of significant growth, more than a century after it first began caring for local families at the heart of Westminster.
As part of the new programme, iNHouse will raise the profile and benefits of the LEYF approach amongst parents and relevant Local Authority commissioners across the Capital, whilst helping the organisation better engage with leading corporate and research partners, exploring new projects which will directly impact more of London’s children.
Widely respected as a socially enterprising Early Years provider, LEYF already operates as a highly successful business with a clear social purpose in Barking and Dagenham, Camden, Kensington and Chelsea, Tower Hamlets and Westminster, providing high quality community nurseries for children and families from all backgrounds, alongside an established apprenticeship programme for young adults.
Neil Hart, Marketing and Communications Manager at LEYF, said:
“Despite the continued economic uncertainty facing both the sector and individual parents, it’s a tremendously exciting time for LEYF, as we look forward to significant growth across the Capital.”
“With the tragedy of so many children suffering at the hands of poor quality childcare, and poverty still affecting 4 in 10 London children, anyone working in Early Years has a moral obligation to do everything possible to turn the tide of deprivation.
“For LEYF, this means extending our reach of high quality daycare, training and research to more of those communities concerned. And we’re delighted to have found an agency we feel can work closely with us to achieve this ambition.”
Jo Tanner, co-Founder and Director of iNHouse said:
“As a London company run by two women with young children in early year’s settings, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with LEYF. Their ethos and approach makes them a perfect fit with everything we stand for as an agency.
“LEYF is providing the positive start that children need in the Capital and many could learn valuable lessons from their approach and experience. LEYF is positively impacting our communities from their care and interventions with babies and toddlers through to their apprenticeships schemes. We look forward to taking the LEYF message forward.”
